TOSHIBA AMERICA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS INC. ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC ALLIANCE WITH DOCUWARE
DocuWare Document Management Software to be Offered by DocuWare Authorized Toshiba Dealers Providing Solution to Help Mid-Size Customers Automate Business Processes
IRVINE, Calif., (November 20, 2006) – Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced its strategic alliance with DocuWare, an integrated document management (IDM) solution that automates business processes by managing any type of document, regardless of format or source, in a central document pool. The relationship will permit DocuWare certified Toshiba dealers to offer DocuWare’s IDM software, enabling their mid-size business customers to automate business processes. The software allows customers to electronically store and quickly search for and retrieve documents, increase efficiency and reduce operational costs while simultaneously addressing regulatory compliance issues.
“The alliance between Toshiba and DocuWare provides a complete and scalable solution that focuses on ease-of-use, from capturing documents to managing and automating processes – a solution that we know is in high demand for our customers,” said Michael Szot, Senior Product Manager, TABS. “Integrating DocuWare into Toshiba’s broad range of digital copiers and multifunction products will allow our customers to maximize the potential of their digital documents every time a copy is made.”
Industry trends demonstrate a continued emphasis on electronic document management as an area of opportunity for office equipment dealers to solidify their small- to medium-sized businesses customer base. Additionally, it provides a means to pursue larger accounts with document capture and management tools.
With DocuWare software, digital documents are available to automate business processes such as accounts payable or receivable. In addition, digital data can be managed, stored, archived, retrieved, printed, e-mailed or faxed anywhere in the world, in a safe and secure environment. Because the solution is extremely scalable, it also is suitable both for single-users or enterprise-wide.
“We designed DocuWare to be easy to use, easy to train, easy to administer and most of all easy to maintain,” said Greg Schloemer, President, DocuWare Corporation. “As a result, DocuWare’s competitive price along with its focus on ease-of-use, provides the highest enterprise content management functionality and the lowest total cost of ownership on the market today. We’re eager to work with Toshiba dealers so they can share these benefits with their customers.”
DocuWare’s worldwide distribution model is only through authorized DocuWare dealers. The authorization is based on the successful completion of intensive computer-based and classroom training for at least one technical and one sales professional. The sales training focuses on solution selling with over 200 tools to support the solution sale and consulting process. This structured sales process, in combination with the strong support of Regional DocuWare sales directors, ensures that DocuWare dealers can succeed in the ever-evolving solution business.
